THANKSGIVING OR BIKER-BAR HOPPING?

Like most of you, we have family arriving from out-of-town and while it's important to enjoy them and the Thanksgiving Holiday, it does cut into our pattern of gettin' out at night and hittin' the biker bars, strip clubs and watering holes to continue our misbehavin' lifestyle!

How does one manage this urge? Maybe tell em we're making an overdue trip one evening to Costco maybe? The one in Nebraska! (We're in PHX). Or tell em we have to go to the airport and pickup dear Aunt Viola Sweetbottom? (She died years ago, but none of them have noticed.)

Or should we just be honest and tell em Lori needs some serious rocknroll, blues and a pole! If we do that, they might never be back! That wont work.

In any event, we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! If you come up with an excuse that makes sense, let us know!

Results of Tombstone Ride

What an experience! The ride, truly awesome. We waited til 11am to leave on Saturday, still warm, clear and sunny. We took Hwy 85 south to Gila Bend and then east on I-8 to I-10 then south to Tucson and on to Tombstone. That way, we missed all the downtown PHX traffic and idiots!
Leisurely ride and arrived at 3pm. First thing, we checked into the Tombstone Bordello (Bed and Breakfast) and it was awesome! Great quaint room, private bath, upstairs. The owner, Linda, showed us around and shared that they had a hot tub in the back! Ohhhh ya!

We left to cruise Tombstone, have a couple of drinks and an early dinner. At Kate's, we made friends fast at the Saloon. A really nice lady couldn't keep herself off Lori! She's a local and makes leather cup/bottler coolers and sells them at local gift shops. She gave Lori a black leather one with black fur on it. Too nice.

The town was full of bikers, local and tourists, but mostly, no actually all, men! All I kept getting was compliments, drewels, and stares. Come on' guys!

Went to dinner at the Crystal Palace Saloon and had the best steak ever. Then back to the Bordello for an early evening soak in the hot tub. Nor more said here, but they wont forget us!

Then back to town, the Saloons and party. Kates is always friendly, full of people, mostly cowboy, gunslingers and tourists. Again, mostly men! I was beatin' off with my beer bottle. The band was great, for a country western band ( we'll take it if that's all there is!). Later, we went back to the Crystal Palace and there! Rocknroll Band! We partied the rest of the night away there. Lots of drunks, cowboys, gunslingers, and tourists. Now a couple more ladies, but everyone again, all over my bride! Can't a girl just pole dance!

Got up and headed home Sunday AM after a magnificent breakfast at the Bordello. Now this place is fantastic! Cant say enough. Clean, fresh, comfortable and friendly. Linda the owner spent the whole morning visiting with us. We'll be back.

The ride home was terrific. Very little traffic on all the back roads, and light thru Tucson. South around PHX thru Gila Bend was beautiful! Going back soon!

We need to get away and party! Thinking about a trip on the Vision to Tombstone to party at Big Nose Kate's Saloon in Tombstone. Stay at one of the B&B's there. We hear the place rocks! I know the GM and owner of the Saloon and they want Lori back for entertainment! Hope it goes down! We'll take pics and post!

Our Entertainment

As you can tell by now, our weekends are our "Alter-Ego". We transform into other people, party, play and ride. During the week, we occasionally get out to meet friends (new ones and old ones), make a bike nite or two, and have some special food somewhere.

The best form of television entertainment is our favoriate show... Sons of Anarchy. Tuesday nites on FX Cable, normally at 10PM or 11PM, depending on where you live. Right now, it's 11PM here in AZ since we don't oblige DST. This show is awesome. Drama, violence, riding, club issues, outlaws. Really fun. We only got into it at the beginning of Season 2. Once we heard about it, we bought the first season on DVD and watched it all in one week. We were hooked. Now, we haven't missed one episode in the second season.

This show is off the chart. The Developer, Kurt Sutter, seems to be a wild child creative type who is a bit of a rogue, biker type (but not a biker), who understands the biker culture, rules, laws and lifestyle. We actually met him hanging out with Sonny Barger at a Hell's Angels ride / party a month ago or so. Nice guys, both of em. Katie S didn't make it.

Kurts big issue with Hollywood is that they business people first, always tryin' to save a buck, regardless of show quality, copycats, etc. Kurt is into quality and creativity and he appreciates the committment FX has made to the show, it's creativity, and art. Keep it up. Just soften up on all the commercials!

Upcoming weekend! Where are the rowdy bikers?

Since we've gotten a new roadbike, 2009 Victory Vision, we've been traveling more throughout the Arizona Desert. It's fabulous here with the most magnificent sunsets, mountain rides in the pines only an hour away, fabulous smells, and early evening silhouettes of saguaro cacti in the bright orange sunset light.

This weekend, we're trying to decide whether or not to travel to Flagstaff by bike or car to visit friends. Last check, near 22 degrees at night. It's a party night Friday nite with biker friends so instead of leaving Sat AM, we're leaving Fri nite to make the fun.

We are lovin' PHX. There are plenty of MC groups here in AZ to ride with and many beautiful places to ride. Everyone you meet here are friendly but some, too reserved and hard to even have a conversation with. Maybe we're too far out there? What do ya think?
Don't get us wrong, we love to ride! It's the best form of true therapy we have. But we crave the fun, party-like stops, the laughs and mis-behavior too. There's nothing wrong with a cocktail or beer stop on the way with care to maintain your driving/riding skill. We dont want anyone hurt. Now come-on folks... loosen up! Damn! What ever happened to Ol'School biker fun! Let's find a bar where she can get up and have sum fun dancing!
We need more rowdy friends! We wont give up the hunt for live rock, biker bars, rowdy friends and fun bikers. I mean, we're not into the "apple-pie-runs"? Where's the stripper pole runs?
If ya see us, say hi will ya? Tell us where you have fun and let's party!

Blog Launch

Finally have it up! Just following a great Halloween weekend with the naughtiest devil at my side! Damn she looked hot! Great nite bar hopping and blowin' minds! Sunday ride was exceptional! Found a new route to SE Phx desert that made our day! Explored an isolated route back to the Hideaway for some libation and chow! Pics to come. Damn we have fun! Over the top, but surely fun! Not sure the vanilla crowd can deal with us! But, there's always hope for them!

We've made plans to join hardcore partiers on the RUN 4 The Border event. April 30th, 2010 to May 2nd. Originating in Las Vegas, NV, joining more in San Diego, then on to Ensenada for serious partying! Rooms still available so go to http://www.runfortheborder.net/ to get in on it!
